After a few years without an established DMV in Port Jervis, the city of roughly 8,770 people now has its very own motor vehicle office once again. On Monday, April 15, Orange County Clerk Kelly Eskew, Deputy Clerk of the DMV Ed English, District Attorney David Hoovler, Port Jervis Mayor Dominic Cicalese and several others gathered to celebrate the office’s official ribbon cutting, at 17-19 Sussex Street, Port Jervis.

“We’re happy to serve the community and provide accessible, convenient, and exceptional essential service,” said Eskew on her Facebook page after the event.

She also thanked several legislators and partners who helped bring the DMV back to Port Jervis. “A sincere thank you to Legislator Tom Faggione for all his support and everyone that helped me get this done... Deputy County Clerk Edward English, Orange County DPW, Director of Real Property Paul Wiley, executive secretary and administrative assistant Jenna Pearson, Orange County IT, and DMV Director Karen Garvey-Crown.”

The office will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments are not necessary but can be made at orangecountygov.com/190/Motor-Vehicles-DMV.
