William Jude Leech

William Jude Leech, 82, of Matamoras, Pa., passed away at home on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. He was 82.
Son of the late William Joseph and Marie (Mooney) Leech, he was born on Nov. 6, 1936, in Yonkers, N.Y. He married Ruth Conlan on Oct. 28, 1961.
William was a Sergeant for the Westchester County Police Department, a member of the Police Benevolent Association, member of the Police Emerald Society of Westchester and a United States Army Veteran.
He leaves behind his wife, Ruth Leech of Matamoras; sons, William Leech Jr. and wife, Randi, of Clinton, Conn., and Stephen Leech and wife, Debbie Piermatteo Leech, of Milford, Pa.; brother, Robert Leech of New York; sisters-in-law, Doris Leech and Marjorie Medvec; niece, Ruth Gaulke of Parker, Colo.; and nephews, Seth Leech of New York and James Gaulke of Parker, Colo.
Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on Friday, Nov. 9. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Matamoras, on Nov. 10, with the Rev. Joseph Manarchuck officiating.
