Historical Society to feature ‘Tales of Quakers’ lecture

Join the Dingmans Ferry Delaware Township Historical Society for another fun program by master storyteller Jonathan Kruk, titled “Tales of Quakers & Dutchers in Colonial PA” on Sunday, May 19 at the Delaware Township Municipal Building (116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry).

Kruk will appear in period garb, enchanting all with his tales about the revolutionary “Friends,” the Penn family. You will learn about Dutch, German, Scottish and Irish settlers. In addition, Kruk will provide vignettes on Colonial customs and expressions.

This free program is open to the general public and members, though donations will be accepted. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and the lecture begins at 2 p.m. Attendees are asked to arrive prior to the start of the show so as not to disrupt the presentation.
