Bank helping to take chill off winter
MILFORD - With the cold of winter upon Pike County, United Way of Pike County and the Wachovia Bank branches of Dingman Hills, Lake Region, Lords Valley, Matamoras, and Milford are holding their fourth annual winter coat drive. “Wachovia is committed to supporting our Pike County neighbors in need” stated Valerie Seitz, Milford Office Financial Center Manager, Wachovia Bank. “We are pleased to partner once again with United Way of Pike County to distribute the winter coats Wachovia employees and Pike County citizens have donated.” Ms. Seitz along with Eileen Marie Blair, Administrative Coordinator of United Way of Pike County will be delivering the coats for men, women, and children to the Bushkill Outreach Program which will distribute the coats to needy families throughout Pike County. Kate Newman, Director of Bushkill Outreach Program a program, said “I am happy to work with United Way of Pike County and Wachovia another year, each year we provide basic material support to our neighbors at their point of need.” Pike County residents who are in need food or clothing should contact the Bushkill Outreach Program at 570-588-0660 or United Way of Pike County at 570-296-9980. The Bushkill Outreach Program is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
