Delaware Valley School District students will get a leg up in science and technology this year thanks to a $10,000 donation from The Dime Bank.
The bank donated to Greater Pike Community Foundation through the state of Pennsylvania’s Earned Income Tax Credit program, which awards tax credits to businesses that make significant contributions to educational programs.
The funds will be used to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) educational programs for Delaware Valley School District students.
“Technology has taken on a more crucial role with the need for remote learning during a pandemic,” said Greater Pike Executive Director Jenni Hamill. “Greater Pike is pleased to partner with The Dime Bank, Delaware Valley School District, and the PA Department of Community and Economic Development for this important contribution to the future success of students.”
