Milford. Jeanne Roskoski worked as a private duty nurse for five years, helping a student at Delaware Valley Elementary School. She died on Monday, Nov. 29, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. She was 63.

Dr. John Bell, superintendent of the Delaware Valley School District, said in an email: “We were very sorry to hear of her passing over Thanksgiving break. Even though she wasn’t a DV employee, many of our staff and students knew Jeanne because she had been working in this capacity for several years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.”

Sources close to the nurse and the student say Roskoski died of Covid.

Katie Shupe organized a GoFundMe page on behalf of Margaret Shupe to pay for Roskoski’s funeral. To make a donation, visit tinyurl.com/5ct9jcnr.

“Our Beautiful Mother Jeanne Roskoski passed away Nov. 29th,” says the family’s message on GoFundMe. “And we need help to cover the costs of putting her to rest. If you can help please we appreciate everything and anything. Thank you all.”
