The ARTery Gallery’s June exhibit, “A Glimmer of Nature,” emphasizes the love of nature through art as retired teachers Scott and Debbie Helfand express their artistry through clay, wood, glass and steel, and printmaker Carol Ann Lyons embraces the natural world with her paintings and prints of birds.

The Helfands promote environmental stewardship by using raw and natural materials, often reclaiming, recycling and repurposing “found” materials to create pieces that reflect their affection for the natural world.

A private practice art therapist, Lyons has been an artist and printmaker for over 37 years. Her work explores the relationships she creates and what the natural world encounters within their environment.

The exhibit runs from Thursday, June 6, through Monday, July 8, and the artists will be on hand at the opening reception, which takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.

The ARTery Gallery is located at 210 Broad St. in Milford. For more information, visitarterygallerymilford.com or call 570-409-1234.
