Honesdale. The Authors Alliance is holding its seventh annual Authorfest event from 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Cooperage Project in Honesdale. This event (sometimes referred to as "RAW North") provides authors, poets, and readers a chance to come together to learn more about the craft of writing and to network with fellow literary fans. Alliance chair Carol McManus said, “We are rich with writing talent in our area. Many established as well as aspiring authors live and work in Wayne, Pike, and surrounding counties. We envision Authors Alliance as the unifying community where writers can meet, learn, share, and grow.” Special guest speakers are Bob Levine and Suzanne Levine, both publishing industry veterans, who will talk about the role editing plays is getting your work published and read. A special program on how authors can maximize their presence on Amazon to increase sales. Barbara J. Taylor, author of All Waiting is Long and Sing in the Morning, Cry at Night will be speaking about her journey as an author and her road to getting published.
