Civil War reenactment at Akenac Park

On Oct. 12 and 13, the 7th NJ Infantry Company A 2nd NJ Civil War Brigade will be setting up camp outside the museum at Akenac Park (Route 739 near Doolan Rd., Dingmans Ferry), thanks to the Dingmans Ferry-Delaware Township Historical Society.

This living history event includes: encampment, musket fire, cannon fire, drilling, hospital demonstrations, and more. Additionally, reenactors will be providing pertinent information on many topics relating to the Civil War and encampment life.

There will also be a food tent with food and beverages available for purchase. The museum will be open both days for touring. This free event will be held rain or shine on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
