Clients show work at ARTery
MILFORD. Clients affiliated with Progressive Health of Pennsylvania will display their mixed media collages until Nov. 4 at the ARTery Gallery, 210 Broad St.
Progressive Health of Pennsylvania in Milford will present an art exhibit this month at the ARTery Gallery, 210 Broad St.
The artwork was created by a group of Progressive Health's clients under the direction of Claude Larson, a mixed media artist and member of the ARTery. Libby Cotterill, an employee at Progressive and the gallery's director, was instrumental in putting the collaboration together.
The client-artists made their own papers, creating abstract and representational mixed media collages mounted on cradle boards. They learned and incorporated various painting techniques, elements of design and finishing methods for their pieces.
The display will be on view until Nov. 4. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.
Since 1994, Progressive Health has developed programs that engage clients and integrate them with local opportunities, including the arts and volunteerism.
