BUSHKILL - Superintendent John J. Donahue has announced that “Millbrook Days,” a 19th Century folk life festival, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, and Sunday, Oct. 8, at Millbrook Village in the New Jersey District of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Programs begin at 10 a.m. each day and conclude at 4:30 p.m. “‘Millbrook Days’ is one of the greatest examples of volunteers working with the National Park Service to bring both education and recreation to the public,” said Donahue. “The Millbrook Village Society and many other dedicated groups will bring the village to life for those two days. Don’t miss it.” Dozens of folk crafts will be demonstrated, and there will be numerous folk life exhibits. The festival will also feature kids games, gifts, and live traditional music. Food will be available for purchase. Parking and shuttle service are free. Millbrook Village is 12 miles north of I-80 on Old Mine Road in New Jersey. For further information, call either of the park’s two visitor centers on weekends at 908-496-4458 or 570-828-2253 or park headquarters on weekdays at 570-588-2452.
