The Pike County Public Library is offering a new Mindful Meditation Workshop, on Oct. 12, Nov. 9, and Dec. 7 at 12:30 p.m. at the Milford branch (119 E. Harford Street). This program will be run by Neola Bricuyet, a certified intuitive energy healer and licensed social worker with over 25 years of counseling experience.

“Heart-brain coherence is the state when the heart, mind, and emotions are in energetic alignment and cooperation,” Bricuyet explained. “States of emotional dysregulation, anger, anxiety, and frustration occur when the heart and brain are out of alignment, and incoherent. A simple meditation to bring the heart and brain into alignment can lead to: positive emotions such as love and joy, reduction in stress, build resilience, clarity of mind, higher cognitive capacity, performance improvement, higher capacity [for] problem-solving, emotional stability, greater access to intuition and creativity, [and] regenerative process/anti-aging.”
