Dinner and a Creature Feature to present ‘The Abominable Snowman’
Milford. Get your creature feature fix Wednesday, January 15.
On Wednesday, January 15 at 5 p.m. the Pike County Historical Society will continue its Dinner and a Creature Feature series with a chilling classic — “The Abominable Snowman,” the 1957 film also known by the title “The Snow Creature,” starring Forrest Tucker and Peter Cushing, with shrieking from Maureen Connell! The film follows the exploits of British scientist Dr. John Rollason who joins an American expedition, led by glory-seeker Tom Friend, to search the Himalayas for the legendary Yeti. Alas, poor Fred Johnson, who plays the Yeti, is un-credited, and without him the film would have been quite boring!
The film will be shown in The Foundation Room of the Columns Museum. Tickets are $35 per person and include dinner, dessert and coffee, plus the movie. Reservations are needed and can be made by calling 570-296-8126 or emailing pikemuse@ptd.net.
