Lauren Jones is pictured amidst her jewelry, sculpture, clothing, graphics and painting, which were all on display as DV’s art students gathered outside the auditorium at last weekend's musical to showcase their works at the school’s annual art show. The show, which ran all weekend, kicked off Friday with members of the high school’s orchestra providing a classical soundtrack to the event. See the slideshow for more pictures. Proud parents and supportive students milled about, commenting on the array of works while enjoying the free refreshments provided by the artists. A staple of the event, the senior art tables given to students pursuing artistic college majors, were also a huge hit with attendees. Featured seniors included Lauren Jones, Sam Juro, Alyssa Tooley, Talia Rossi, Anthony Reyes, Michelle Schafer, Allie Connolly, Taylor Moran, Moriah Wolfe, Matthew Tidridge, Alex Spencer, Aly Paino, Ashley Tucker, Jessica Bullis, and Tara Trutt. “The artwork here tonight is credited to the passion of our students,” said DV Principal Ron Collins. “I’m incredibly proud of all of them.” - Photos by Abby DeVizia and Irene Lantz.
