Golf benefit scheduled

MILFORD - The Third Annual Sonnie Lehman Agency - Survivors’ Resources’ Golf Tournament was announced by Sonnie Lehman and Kathy Allen. The tournament, one of the first of the local 2006 season, will be held on Tuesday, May 9 at the Great Bear Golf and Country Club in Marshalls Creek. “The $99 per participant donation for the outing is very reasonable considering all the tournament package offers,” said Kathy Allen, President of Survivors’ Resources, Inc. The day’s schedule includes a continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf and golf cart, golf skills contests, golf and door prizes and the Awards Luncheon Buffet. “All tournament proceeds will again go to support Survivors’ Resources which works with victims of domestic violence,” said Sonnie Lehman, President of Milford’s Lehman Nationwide Insurance Agency, who has sponsored several charitable golf tournaments in the past. Sonnie Lehman praised the Great Bear Country Club’s Jack Nicklaus championship course and said “the tournament’s Best Ball Blind Flight format should have special appeal”. He recommended early registration since participation will be limited to 100 golfers.
