The Grey Towers Heritage Association is continuing its Lunch & Learn lecture series into 2025. The next installment will be a talk about restoring tree species for ecosystem health, featuring Dr. Cornelia Pinchot Wilson.
In this talk, Wilson will provide an overview of tree species restoration — what this entails, why this is important, and how species restoration can help mitigate the mounting challenges faced by our forests. Wilson is a research ecologist with the United States Forest Service Northern Research Station. Her research focuses on restoring tree species impacted by non-native pests and pathogens, namely American elm and American chestnut. She is based in Delaware, Ohio, where she lives with her husband and two young children.
This Lunch & Learn session will take place on January 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Forest Hall (214 Broad St., Milford). Tickets are $22 for non-members ($17 for members) and include lunch. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit greytowers.org /lunch-and-learn-series.
