Hanna Q Dance Company coming to Milford
Milford. These performers will delight and entertain.
“Hanna Q Dance Company performances in Milford” will be taking place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 and again at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2 at St. Patrick’s Hall, located at 111 East High St. in Milford.
Founded in 2013, the New York City-based Hanna Q Dance Company performs original works as Artistic Director/Choreographer Johanna LjungQvist-Brinson (Hanna Q) draws inspiration from the forces of nature and uses its elements to create dynamic narratives through movement.
The choreography is comprised of technically rigorous movement, derived from LjungQvist-Brinson’s background in Dunham technique, as well as partnering at once intricately acrobatic and viscerally human. The dancers express bursts of passion and athleticism, sweeping the audience into a different world full of emotions.
LjungQvist-Brinson’s dancers will perform the premier of her new choreographic work: “Atmosphere.” The contemporary-modern dance is a powerful yet tender piece that explores human vulnerability and how our nature depends on the Earth’s atmosphere for our existence.
These performances are made possible, in part, by a grant award from The Greater Pike Community Foundation and Richard L. Snyder Fund. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased on hannaqdancecompany.com.
