The performance will be emceed by hostess Mary Cooney Buma, with choreography by Johanna LjungQvist-Brinson (Hanna Q), and photographic projections by Max H. Brinson. The HQDC dancers performing that night include Ellie Lehman, Jordan Greenlee, Giorgia Picano, David Stocchi and Quincy Southerland.

They will perform three work by LjungQvist-Brinson, which she describes thusly:

Wishes: Sometimes we wish for something to happen so hard it feels like a prayer. We focus our energy to give “well wishes,” but we also wish strongly for things for ourselves and it’s like we then try to draw the energy toward us.

Glimmer: Glimmers are those small, fleeting moments of joy, contentment, or delight that break through the monotony of everyday life. They can be as simple as a warm smile from a stranger, the laughter of a child, or the feeling of sunlight on your skin during a morning walk, moments in your day that spark a sense of wellbeing.

I Love You: This is about the importance of the human need to feel loved. As children the most important thing we need for our development is to feel loved, safe. Even as adults we need to feel love to be happy and healthy. The most important words there are might be: “I love you!”
