Historical Society to hold Lincoln storytelling
Dingmans Ferry. This actor-portrayed program will take place April 14.
The Dingmans Ferry-Delaware Township Historical Society has announced an interactive dramatic program in with actor and storyteller Lou Del Bianco will portray Abraham Lincoln as a civil war president, frontiersman, and storyteller in his own right. Del Bianco will embody Lincoln’s values of honesty, love of family, thirst for education, a sense of justice and perseverance through this dynamic presentation.
Audiences will learn about Lincoln’s struggles as president, from his suspension of the writ of Habeas Corpus to his stand on slavery. New light will also be shed on his personal struggles as well. There will also be a question and answer period following the program. This show was endorsed by the Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.
This program will take place on Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.) at The Delaware Township Municipal Building (116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry). This program is free and open to the general public; donations will be accepted.
