Historical Society to hold Tocks Island lecture

The Dingmans Ferry-Delaware Township Historical Society will be holding the second part of its program on Tocks Island, titled “We the People Part 2 – Then and Now: Tocks Island & National Park” on Sunday, June 9 at 2 p.m. Sandy Hull, along with historical society President Tim Singleton, will present part 2 of this lecture, detailing the “No National Park” grassroots movement of citizens concerned about the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (DWGNRA) and the proposal to expand and change its designation to a national park.

The lecture will take place at the Delaware Township Municipal Building, 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry. The event is free and open to the public as well as members, though donations will be accepted.
