The members of Hot Wrk Ensemble will be performing in Port Jervis August 23.
The UpFront Exhibition Space will continue its “groove port” music series this month with a performance by Hot Wrk Ensemble, slated to take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 23.
Hot Wrk Ensemble is a saxophone/woodwind and percussion trio founded in 2020 by award‐winning musicians J Brooks Marcus (J Why), Lois Hicks‐Wozniak and Brad Hubbard. The band has been described as “committed to creating community through diverse, genre‐eclectic ‘chamber grooves’ that include collaborative improvisation.”
Tickets are $20 at the door. UpFront Exhibition Space, at 31 Jersey Ave., Port Jervis, also features an art gallery that will be open at 1 p.m. the day of the performance and available for viewing up until the ensemble begins. The current exhibit features the works of Rachel Gordon, Joyce Lee, and Dani Cooney. For more information, call the venue at 845-754-1808.
