French Impressionism made its way to America in leaps and bounds during the
late 19th century. Young artists returned from their studies, influencing not only their peers, but also established painters in the US. However, where were the first colonies here and who were the artists?
Take a trip back in time to the people and places near us that recorded the areas where we live. The first two sessions will be slide/DVD presentation with maps and brochures. The last session will be a studio in acrylics on canvas of a landscape of your choice. Bring photos and a snack.
