Milford. Come feel the joy of the opening of the garden-growing season
A sure sign of spring is the Milford Garden Club’s Perennial Plant Sale! This annual event will take place on Saturday, May 20, at St. Patrick’s Church Hall in Milford.
The sale begins at 9 a.m. (please, no early birds) and will end at noon. This is a rain or shine event.
Members of the club have scoured their gardens and set aside their favorite perennials such as Echinacea (cone flower), Rudbeckia (Black eyed Susan), Solomon’s seal, Sedum and more.
Annual, house, vegetable and herb plants will also be available for sale.
Garden items and books will also be featured.
There will be garden club members available to ask about the best growing conditions or how to manage pest control.
The Milford Garden Club is dedicated to education about horticulture and enhancing the beauty of Milford. It is best known for the decoration of the urns around town.
What is not as well known is the club’s scholarship program which awards funds to a graduating senior who will focus on the natural world.
Your support of the Perennial Plant Sale supports these efforts.
