‘Music in the Barn’ to take place May 19
Montague. Enjoy a concert by the Port Jervis Consort at the Tamerlaine Sanctuary and Preserve.
The Port Jervis Consort, an ensemble of voices, flute, cello and piano, will present “Music in the Barn” at the Tamerlaine Sanctuary and Preserve, 141 Clove Road in Montague, NJ, on Sunday, May 19, at 4:30 p.m. The Sanctuary, home to over 200 rescued farm animals of all types, will give tours of the grounds between 2 and 4 p.m. The concert will present music about animals, from Madrigals to McCartney/Lennon to “Old McDonald Had a Farm” in Latin.
There will also be opportunities for audience participation (this could be your only chance to sing about pigs). The event is sponsored by Port Jervis Arts (845-858-9895) and the Tamerlaine Sanctuary and Preserve (917-697-4513). There is no admission charge, but donations supporting both organizations will be accepted.
