The public is invited to the opening reception of Nature’s Symphony from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, at the Callicoon Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library.

”Opening reception is a marriage of art and music,” said Ciera Moore, event coordinator. “We’re so happy to bring together the visual beauty of plein air painting and the delightful sounds of Gary Cormier’s live instrumental music.”

Nature’s Symphony will showcase a collection of plein air paintings created by artists in the region. To compliment the art on display, musician Gary Cormier will provide live entertainment.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists and learn about their creative processes as well as enjoy complimentary refreshments.

This project is sponsored by the Western Sullivan Public Library and the Barryville Area Arts Association and made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program and administered by the Delaware Valley Arts Association.
