Not your average bear

MILFORD — Ann Marie Nitti is an accomplished fine artist who is one of 10 selected to create an Artful Bear for this fall's Black Bear Film Festival.
Each artist submitted a sketch of how their finished bear would look. A committee chose 10 from dozens of submissions.
“Creating an Artful Bear is the perfect complement to moving into this beautiful town of Milford," said Nitti.
Robert John Keiber, Executive Director of The Black Bear Film Festival, said it was tough to pick just ten among "all the beautiful renderings that came in."
“Ann Marie was one of the first stunning sketches that came in, and her bear looks almost exactly like her sketch," he said.
Cabela's International Outfitters sponsored the bears, and supplied 10 target bears for the Artful Bear Picnic from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, on the Community House Lawn in Milford.
There will be food, music, and games, all under the watchful eye of the Artful Bears.
