Paddle down the Delaware for annual river clean-up
Milford. Kittatinny Canoes hosts their 32nd Annual On and Under the Delaware River Clean-up on July 18 and 19. Volunteers are rewarded with camping opportunities.
Kittatinny Canoes offers volunteers a chance to paddle down the Delaware picking up trash for the 32nd Annual “On and Under” The Delaware River Clean-Up. This event often attracts more than 100 volunteers over the course of two days to help keep the Delaware River clean.
Volunteers will paddle 8- to 10-mile sections of the river, picking up trash from the shorelines, islands, and river bottom along the way. Kittatinny Canoes provides breakfast, canoes, life jackets, trash bags and transportation. Volunteers should bring lunch, snacks, plenty of drinking water, sunscreen, work gloves, and a hat and wear sturdy shoes that can get wet.
Volunteers are offered free camping for participating in the clean-up. Volunteer one day for up to two nights, or volunteer both days to get up to three free nights of camping.
