Paint will flow at Plein Air Delaware
Port Jervis. Artists will do plein air painting of scenes around the Delaware River in Port Jervis.
Plein Air on the Delaware is an outdoor community event for artists, art lovers, and anyone else who wants to join. Beginners as well as master artists are invited to this outdoor painting party.
Artists can bring their own supplies or use those provided, and the event gives artists a chance to celebrate the River, as well as surrounding historic buildings, parks, streetscapes, and gardens.
Maps will be provided for artists showing several locations along the Delaware River in and around Port Jervis, NY, such as the walkway along the Delaware River to West End Beach, Riverside Park, Elks Brox Park and the Hawks Nest, to name a few.
The artwork created that day will be on display at the Port Jervis Library Community Room at an exhibit/reception the next week.
Participants will meet at the Creamery (5 Water Street in Port Jervis) right next to the River Walkway. Artists can choose to travel anywhere along the river they like.
All participants will be provided bagels and pastries in the morning, courtesy of Carmine’s Bakery in Port Jervis, and lunch bags to go.
This all happens on Saturday, July30, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. | Rain Date: Saturday, August 6, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
