Port Jervis. Reserve a spot on the D&H Canal guided bus tour
Due to the popularity of the May 20, 2023 D&H Canal Bus Tour from Port Jervis to Phillipsport, organizers will book a larger-capacity motor coach if enough additional passengers reserve by April 15.
The guided tour sponsored by the Delaware & Hudson Transportation Heritage Council (DHTHC) costs $55 per person and includes roundtrip transportation to Phillipsport, a restaurant stop for a sit-down lunch, and visits to learn about and explore various canal locks, abutments, a telegraph house, and other 1828-1898 period features.
Guests will park and meet the bus at the Walgreens shopping plaza at 76 Pike St. in Port Jervis near the entrance to the Port Jervis Transportation History Center by 10 a.m. on May 20. The bus return is expected at 3 p.m.

This tour follows the canal route from Port Jervis to Phillipsport which is the subject of the 4th chapter of the Council’s DVD series, “The Delaware & Hudson Canal Company: Its History and Legacy.” The videos, running approximately 15-25 minutes, are available through regional historical societies in NY and PA, with Chapter 4 offered for sale at the end of the trip for $10.
