Presby Players to perform love songs
Port Jervis. Take your Valentine out for some live entertainment.
Bring a little love into your life for Valentine’s Day by attending the Presby Players’ annual Valentine’s show at Marsh Hall. The production, “A Century of Love Songs,” features popular tunes all written in the 20th century. Music Director Sandy Stalter said the selection of songs spans the decades from the 1930s through the 1990s.
“Audience members will likely recognize the songs,” she added. Some titles include “At Last,” “Happy Together,” “Since I Fell for You,” “Midnight Train to Georgia,” “Unforgettable,” “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” and many other popular tunes.
“It’s a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Artistic Director Jeffrey Stocker. “Bring a date and share the love!” he added.
The cast of 16 singers includes adults, teens and pre-teens from the tri-state area. Melissa Thomas is the choreographer. The show at 60 Sussex Street (Mash Hall) will be performed on Friday and Saturday, February 14 and 15 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, February 16 at 3 p.m. Tickets (sold at the door) are $15 ($10 for students).
