Crime victim rights ballot question:
The rights of crime victims will be enshrined in the Pennsylvania Constitution under a amendment, approved by a wide margin statewide on Tuesday, that will enumerate rights for victims, including being notified about all hearings and being allowed to attend them, and the ability to weigh in during plea hearings, sentencings and parole proceedings. It would also guarantee “a prompt and final conclusion" of the case and post-conviction proceedings and the right to full restitution.
In Pike County voters supported the law 5,864 to 1,596.
