A free event on Nov. 5 in Honesdale that gives cancer patients, survivors and supporters a place to show up, share their stories and be supported in person is less than two weeks away.

Registration is still available at PerspectivesOnCancer.com.

The Showing Up: Perspectives on Cancer in person event, located at Park Street Complex, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Park Street Complex, 648 Park. St., is hosted by Tim Sohn, a 15-plus-year chronic leukemia survivor, in partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

This is the first in-person event in connection with the weekly livestreamed show Showing Up: Perspectives on Cancer, found on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter & YouTube, which was launched in November of 2021.

The day includes inspirational speakers and music; attendees will have a chance to share their own cancer stories in small groups, and lunch, snacks and coffee are provided.

In addition, as part of the in person-event, Sohn will be holding the 52nd episode of Showing Up: Perspectives on Cancer in person for the first time as well as livestreamed, and his guest will be Savio P Clemente. He is a survivor of Stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He coaches cancer survivors to overcome confusion and gain the clarity needed to get busy living in mind, body, and spirit. He advocates finding meaning in the “why” and cultivating mindset resilience.
