Hundreds turn out for Run for Riley memorial 5K

Milford. The run was in memory of DVHS junior Riley Aaron Krick who died in January.

On Saturday, June 1, Delaware Valley High School hosted the Run for Riley Memorial 5K Run/Walk. According to the organizers, 338 runners/walkers came out to navigate the 3.1-mile cross-country course that finished on the stadium track.

This 5k Run/Walk was dedicated in memory of Riley Aaron Krick of Milford who passed away Monday, January 22, 2024. Krick was a junior at Delaware Valley High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in orchestra, cross country, track, scholastic scrimmage, and mock trial. He was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dingmans Ferry, where he was an active participant in the Youth Group and Vacation Bible Camp.

Participants received a special race shirt and finisher medal.

The organizers gave thanks to Core Entertainment, DVHS Orchestra, Dollar General, ShopRite, DVXC Booster Club, Awnings on the Side, and Changes By Robin, and relayed thanks from the Krick family as well.
