Old and new holiday tunes and poetry from Presby Players
Port Jervis. The Presby Players will present their 10th year of holiday shows, Dec. 17 and 18.
The longest-running community theater in Orange County, the Presby Players, is celebrating a milestone as they present their annual Christmas show at Marsh Hall on Saturday, December 17th (at 7p.m.) and Sunday, December 18th (at 3p.m.). This year marks the tenth anniversary of the production.
The audience can expect to hear contemporary and traditional holiday poetry and music. A cast of 26 performers (adults and young adults) will sing favorite tunes such as “Joy to the World” and recite classics such as “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” but artistic director Jeffrey Stocker says be prepared for contemporary works like John Denver’s “Alfie the Christmas Tree.”
Musical Director Sandy Stalter will accompany the cast on piano – and says the audience will get a chance to sing along. Tickets are $10 at the door.
