Pike pediatrician becomes board certified
Honesdale. Larryl Damon, Jr., DO, a pediatrician at two Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers, the Pike and Sterling Pediatric Centers, recently became a board-certified pediatrician.
Larryl Damon, Jr., DO, pediatrician at two of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) Pediatric sites – the Pike Pediatric Center and the Sterling Pediatric Center -- has been awarded board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
“We congratulate Dr. Damonfor exemplifying a commitment to quality patient care,” said Frederick Jackson, executive director, WMCHC. “We are proud to have a full roster of board-certified pediatricians meeting the needs of our youngest patients.”
In addition to successfully passing the ABP’s General Pediatrics Certifying Exam covering all aspects of healthcare for infants, children and adolescents, Dr. Damon was also required to complete three years of pediatric training in an accredited residency program, prove clinical competence as well as demonstrate professional and ethical conduct in order to become a board-certified pediatrician.
WMCHC’s operates four outpatient pediatric sites--Honesdale Pediatric Center, Waymart Pediatric Center, Sterling Pediatric Center in Lake Ariel and Pike Pediatric Center in Lords Valley. Each location offers well-and sick-child visits, immunizations, medical evaluation and treatment of chronic conditions.
