Tony Perito will give a presentation, “A Short History of the Morris Canal,” hosted by the Shohola Railroad & Historical Society (SRHS) on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. The canal resulted from a blend of farmer ingenuity and Erie engineering school of grads’ expertise in the early American industrial period. Perito, an amateur historian as well as Asst. Community Manager of Milford’s Wayne bank, will share his presentation with SRHS at the Shohola Twp. Bidg., 159 Twin Lakes Rd. It will be followed by refreshments. The SRHS museum room at the Twp. Bldg. will be open, free of charge, following the talk.
