Startling Dingman Township on Oct. 22: Scarecrows in the Park Fall Festival
Milford. The festival returns, after a pandemic pause, with an array of entertainments and vendors, organized by Dingman Township Parks and Recreation.
Dingman Township will have their annual Scarecrows in the Park event after canceling the event during the last few years because of the covid pandemic. This event will be the first Scarecrow Fest offering a free community day and evening event on the same day.
During the day, starting at 2:00 p.m. families can walk down the parade of costumes lane, where kids and parents can flaunt their creative costumes, for which prizes will be awarded. The annual scarecrows competition will have cash prizes. Also offered will be food, many vendors, games, live entertainment by John Neate, stilt walking and balloons by Flaming Barrel of Monkeys Entertainment. Hayrides, free pumpkins, games, face painting, bounce house, obstacle course and Trunk or Treat will be part of the scene too.
During the evening event, take a walk through Dingman Townships Haunted Asylum, trail through the Dark Forest of Terror, take a ride on the haunted hayride. Have a cup of hot cocoa and popcorn at a bonfire while watching the fire show presented by Flaming Barrel of Monkeys Entertainment and dance to the spooky sounds of Core Entertainment.
