Wayne Memorial Hospital escorts first baby into 2023
Honesdale. The first baby of 2023 at WMH arrived on January 2, just before another baby was about to arrive.
It’s a boy! Brantley Burrows is the first baby of the New Year, born at Wayne Memorial Hospital’s New Beginnings Birthing Suites. Brantley arrived on Monday, January 2, at 3:37 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 1.2 ounces and measuring 20 inches in length.
His delighted parents are Anastasia Dunlap and Damian Burrows, of Starrucca, Pennsylvania. They received a big ‘First Baby’ basket full of goodies. The baby’s delivery was facilitated by Angela Tang, MD, a board-certified obstetrician with the Women’s Health Center, Honesdale, part of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers. Mom predicts Brantley “is going to be a competitor!” It was slow going for a long while, but when another mother showed up with a baby on the way, “Brantley arrived twenty minutes later,” said Tang, earning the title First Baby of ‘23!
In all seriousness, Anastasia said, Tang was “completely content” and the staff “were great.”
