Family, friends and Belle Reve Senior Living staff gathered in the dining room to celebrate resident Doris Tordini. The beaming centenarian marked her 101st birthday on Monday, Jan. 27.

Tordini, wearing a jeweled tiara and birthday sash, was honored by special guests, Milford Borough Mayor Doug Jacobs and Pike County Chamber of Commerce liaison Michelle McPherson. Each of them stopped by the party to present her with a certificate of recognition and to offer their birthday wishes.

“It was a nice privilege that [the mayor] came out and took the time to meet me; he is a very nice gentleman,” Tordini said. “I had a lovely time with everyone.”

Tordini, a native of New Milford, New Jersey, was a secretary at a law firm for many years. She loves to sing, paint, knit and bake, and gives credit to her three sons, Tom, Glen, and Kevin, for her longevity.

“Life has kept me going and keeping up with my three sons that I love so much!” she said.
