Anna Mundy (nee Pellicano) of Hawley, Pa., passed away peacefully at Bristol Glen in Newton, N.J. on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021. She was 88.
Born to Francisco and Flavia Pellicano in Paterson, N.J, she lived in Oakland, N.J., for 33 years before moving to Hawley.
Anna worked as a mortgage officer for First Fidelity Bank in Totowa, N.J., for 25 years retiring in 1995. She was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Shohola, Pa., was dedicated to her family above all else, and enjoyed reading and travelling in her retirement.
Anna has gone to meet her beloved husband of 53 years, Joseph Mundy, who passed six months prior. She is also predeceased by her parents, two uncles, Giuseppe (Joe) and Frank Schiavone.
Anna is the devoted mother of Lonie Joyce and her husband, Paul, of Hamburg, N.J., and loving grandmother of Nathan and Kiernan Joyce. She is also survived by a niece and nephew.
Private cremation services under the direction of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, Vernon, N.J. Anna will be interred with her husband at the Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sparta, N.J., at a later date.
