Carol Eileen Hughson of Matamoras, Pa., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at home with her husband of 60 years by her side. She was 77.
Daughter of the late Robert Baisley, Sr and Leona Eckard she was born Dec. 22, 1942 in Newburgh, N.Y.
She was retired from Kolmar Labs and Andmore Swimwear, Port Jervis, N.Y. A very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, she devoted her life to her family and friends, and enjoying bingo. Carol was always there for anyone in need.’
Carol is survived by her husband, Arthur R. Hughson Sr.; daughters, Debbie Mady and her husband, Mike, of Matamoras, Pa., Sherri Hicks of Port Jervis, and Lefferts and her husband, Todd, of Matamoras; sons, Arthur Hughson Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Greeley, Pa., Stephen Hughson Sr. and his companion, Angie Gaimaro of Dingmans Ferry, Pa.; grandchildren: Michael, Chris, Krystle Mady, Tiffany, Katrina, Jamie Hicks, Meaghan, Arthur III, Stephen Jr., Tyler Hughson, Kyle, and Makenzee Lefferts; step-grandchildren, Joe Kennedy, Lenny, Abriana, Gina, Annmarie, and Anthony Gaimaro; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Her message of love to her family: “When the day arrives that there are no more tomorrows for me, I want my husband, children, grandchildren to know and never forget that they were, are and always will be deeply loved by me.”
A message of love from her children: “We miss you! Our hearts still ache with sadness and many tears still flow. What it meant to lose you, no one will ever know. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain to walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again.”
Services and cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.
