David P. Geissler, 61, passed into heaven on January 22, 2022, from their home in Milford, PA with his beloved wife, Suzanne, at his side.
David fought a long, hard battle with metastatic prostate cancer from 2017-2022. He never complained or gave up hope. He knew how blessed he was with all the extra time God gave him and he lived that time well – exactly how he wished. He was comfortable and happy always.
A graduate of Morristown High School, class of ’79, Dave was a NJ master electrician. The couple owned Geissler Electric and Pike County Electrical Inspection in Milford for many years.
He later worked as an electrician for 6 years at Minot Air Force Base, ND before retiring.
David was a loving, kind, and generous husband to his wife, Suzanne as well as her best friend. He was involved with his community for many years helping others. He had a great sense of humor. Dave adored their three dogs, Dutch, DJ and Hope who were always by his side. Dave and Suzanne spent many years showing their horses in the AQHA show circuit. He loved the beach and fishing, and they spent many happy years vacationing at the Jersey shore and traveling the world.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Suzanne Geissler, and many friends who loved and supported Dave and Suzanne unconditionally. Dave was predeceased by his brother Stephen Geissler of VT and his father Frank Geissler of NJ.
A memorial Mass was held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Milford, PA on May 21, 2022 followed by a gathering at Apple Valley Restaurant.
Suzanne would like to thank all of Dave’s doctors in Atlantic Health especially Dr. Chatiwalla. Suzanne asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Dave’s memory to the Milford Fire Department, PO Box 1369, Milford, PA 18337. The fire department provided assistance to Dave many times in his last couple of months.
