James Joseph Healy
James Joseph Healy of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., died on Friday, May 12, 2017, in West Chester, Pa. He was 81.
Son of the late James M. and Frances (Bachman) Healy, he was born on March 7, 1936, in the Bronx, N.Y.
He was a firefighter for the N.Y.F.D., New York, N.Y.; volunteer fireman in East Farmingdale, N.Y.; member of the Saint Vincent DePaul Church, Milford, Pa.; fourth0degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Milford; and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Bridget (Smith) Healy; sons, Kevin Healy and his wife, Amanda, of Upper Saddle River, N.J, Sean Healy of Vestal, N.Y., Tyson Healy and his wife, Justine, of Staten Island, N.Y., Liam Healy and his wife, Jill, of Glenn Mills, Pa., and Brendon Healy and his wife, Amelia, of Westchester, Pa.; daughters, Kerry Healy and her husband, Charlie Vallette, of Downingtown, Pa., Colleen Healy of Downington, Pa., Shannon Midlarsky and her husband, Lewis, of Richboro, Pa., Kelly Brozek and her husband, Gregg, of Fairfield, Conn., and Meghan McKenna and her husband, Stephen, of Westchester, Pa.; 23 grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Terence and daughter Tara Healy.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA 18337.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 19, at Saint Vincent DePaul Church, 101 Saint Vincent Drive, Milford, with the Rev. Richard Cirba officiating.
