JoAnn Marie Biccum of Sparrowbush, N.Y., died Monday, July 17, 2023, at Westchester Medical Center. She was 53.
She was born July 8, 1970, in Kingston, N.Y., the daughter of Edward Kackos and Lorraine “Lori” Corwin.
JoAnn married her loving husband, Eric Biccum, on April 29, 2013, in Neptune City, N.J., and together they made a beautiful life for their daughter Emmeline.
Her family’s statement reads: “JoAnn loved her friends and family more than anything. She always spoke fondly of her childhood which was split between her grandma’s cabins in Big Indian, N.Y., and down the shore in Belmar, N.J. JoAnn worked many jobs in her early adult life, but the only job she ever wanted was to be a mom. Emmeline was her whole world over the past 12 years and JoAnn was the best mom anyone has ever seen. She was most happy traveling to the beach with her family or thrifting out in the Amish country. Everyone who knew her appreciated her big personality and kind heart.”

Her loving husband Eric Biccum; daughter Emmeline Biccum; father Edward Kackos; siblings Jennifer Kackos-Smith and her husband Jason, Edward “Eddie” Kackos and Erin Bult and her husband Tim.
JoAnn is predeceased by her mother Lorraine Corwin, grandmother Claire Damon, grandfather Stanley Damon, paternal grandparents Edward Kackos and Dorothy Kackos.
Friends and family are invited to visit the Gray Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, N.Y., on Monday, July 24, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 24, at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation was held at the MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, Pa.
Close family and friends are invited to the Erie Trackside Monday, July 24, at 5 p.m. for a repast to celebrate JoAnn’s life.
