John A. Lonsky Jr. of Milford, Pa., passed away, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at home. Born in Neptune, New Jersey, on May 9, 1936, the son of the late John A. and Mary (Blasko) Lonsky Sr., John’s early days consist of many moves prior to settling in Little Falls, NJ, to start his family.

He was married to the late Elmira F. “Micki” (Foster) Lonsky. He was predeceased by his daughter Joan Marie and by his two sisters: Fran Lonsky, Little Falls, NJ, and Alice LaRose, S. Portland, Maine.

John was a self-employed building contractor for many years under the name of John Lonsky Inc. Little Falls, NJ. Raising five children in Little Falls, he was active in many civic organizations including Little Falls Athletic Club, coaching, and former president of the Lions Club.

After retirement, John and Micki resided in the Milford, Pa., area where they were active in the St. Vincent DePaul parish.

John is survived by his three sons, John F. Lonsky and wife Eva, Michael T. Lonsky and wife Patricia, Andrew J. Lonsky and wife Annette; and daughter Carol Ann Lonsky.

“Pop” enjoyed watching his nine grandchildren throughout the years of activities. He was their “super fan” at the many sporting events. More recently, Pop was always happy to spend time with family, including his great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all.

Mass of Christian burial: November 2, 2024, at 12 p.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Church, Milford, Pa., with Rev. John Boyle officiating.

Burial: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ, private at the convenience of the family.
