Joseph C. Wassmer, 65

| 18 Jul 2024 | 12:39

Joseph C. Wassmer, 65 of Lords Valley, Pa., passed away very unexpectedly in the still early morning hours of July 15, 2024.

He was a faithful husband and loving protector of his wife and children. As a loving father, and a simple man he only wanted the love of his close family circle. Though not perfect, he formed the habit of saying “If it’s God’s will” in every situation. His favorite hobby besides spending close family time, was playing guitar/singing and retelling stories of the “good” old days. His staunch devotion to the Rosary, his firm guidance, strong emotional support and sarcastic humor was the actual heartbeat of the Wassmer household.

His wise advice to “choose” wisely will not go unheeded. The image of him sitting in his chair, intently at guitar, will be greatly missed. He left a deep void of loneliness that cannot be filled.

Upon, his sudden passing he left behind many unfinished tasks and a string of broken hearts among his wife and children as his family perseveres in the Catholic faith. The close family bond between his wife and children keeps his memory alive.

Joseph’s last request was to have his family and friends storming Heaven with prayers, that he might bypass Purgatory and go straight to Heaven. Please pray for Joseph’s speedy entrance into Heaven.

The son of the late Eugene and Arietta (Pfeiffer) Wassmer, he was born Dec 11, 1958, in Bronx, NY. Joseph married Lourdes (Quiles) Wassmer, and a love story began... A love, that would never die.

Joseph leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Lourdes; children Joseph Wassmer Jr., Christina Wassmer, Lisa Wassmer, Mark Wassmer, and Brian Wassmer; and siblings Janet Wassmer, John Wassmer, and James Wassmer. He was predeceased by his oldest brother Eugene Wassmer.
