Laurence ‘Larry’ Chiocchi

Laurence “Larry” Chiocchi, a longtime resident of Shohola, Pa., passed away on Monday, Jan, 9, 2023, at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y. He was 70 years old and was born in Fair Lawn, N.J.

Larry was a retired Captain/ Tankerman for Bouchard Oil Transport, Long Island, N.Y. He was a member of the Local 333 Union.

He was married for 43 years to Carol (Feltrin) Chiocchi. He was a member of St. Ann R.C. Church in Shohola, Pa.

His family’s statement reads: “Larry was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and uncle. He enjoyed traveling with Carol, hiking, hunting and especially working out with his friends at Burn the Ships CrossFit in Port Jervis, N.Y. He will truly be missed by all.”

He is survived by his wife Carol, son Dustin Chiocchi and his wife Kari of Bozeman, Montana, daughter Rose Chiocchi of Port Jervis, N.Y., two brothers: David Chiocchi and his wife Cindy of Hawley, Pa., Jeff Chiocchi and his wife Ruth of Westtown, N.Y., nieces Danielle Chiocchi and Nicola Chiocchi, nephews:Joseph Chiocchi, Brian Chiocchi and his wife Rabecca, Vinnie Chiocchi and his wife Kim, brother-in-law Caesar Feltrin and his partner Julie Roberts.

Larry is predeceased by two brothers: Vinnie Chiocchi and Allen Chiocchi.

Visitation was held Jan. 13 and Jan. 14 at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, 3412 Route 97, Barryville, N.Y.

A mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 14 at St. Ann R.C. Church in Shohola.

Burial follow mass in the parish cemetery.
