Linda L. Lane passed away after a long illness on Saturday, March 1, 2024.
Linda was born in Bayonne to the late William Charles and Catherine Greeves Lane on Jan. 30, 1957.
She is predeceased by her brother, Christopher, and leaves behind her sister, Laura-Leigh.
Linda was a lifelong student, graduating with a degree in criminal justice from UNLV, and later receiving her both her BSN and her NP degree from Columbia University and NYU, specializing in psychiatry with a subspecialty in addiction and adolescent care.
Linda had a rewarding career working with the incarcerated and later in private practice helping people reach their goals to lead peaceful lives.
A brilliant well-read and well-informed woman of opinions, she could argue most subjects and wore you out before she’d concede the point.
A champion swimmer, she enjoyed the outdoors including cross country skiing, gardening, growing vegetables and going for long walks with her dogs Chia and Daisy.
A patron of the arts she enjoyed taking in exhibits, experimental theatre and traveling to her favorite destination - Florence, Italy.
Cremation was private at the convenience of the family.
