Richard Witkowski
Richard Witkowski of Middletown, N.Y., a lifetime area resident, died on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Orange Regional Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 59.
Son of the late John and Julia Kostycz Witkowski, he was born on Feb. 2, 1957, in Middletown.
He was a 1975 graduate of Minisink Valley High School. He married Pamela Sircable on Sept. 6, 1975, in Ridgebury, N.Y. He was a strong husband and father who worked as a carpenter for Future Home Tech. He was everybody’s hero. He was spiritual, sensitive, generous and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He liked making conversation. He loved the outdoors and going fishing.
In addition to his loving wife, Pamm at home; he is survived by his daughters, Richelle “Shelly” Williams and her husband, Cory, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and Kelly Roggeman and her husband, Patrick, of Middletown; brothers, James and his wife, Barbara, of Surprise, Ariz., and Thomas Witkowski of Ridgebury; brother-in-law, Dan Pauley; four grandchildren, Tyler and Grace Williams and Ellie and Maxwell Roggeman; anf many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, John Witkowski and his wife, Diane; sister, Kathryn Pauley; and sister-in-law, Jean Witkowski.
Visitation was held Dec. 5 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Middletown. A Celebration of Life was held on Dec. 6 at the funeral home. Father James Hess officiated. Cremation was private.
