Robert (Bob) Lemin, 51, of Matamoras, Pa., passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He worked as a mechanical engineer for LSI.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Strickler Lemin; beloved parents William and Bonnie Lemin, Sr.; sister and brother-in-law Jeff and Penny Loomis and brother William Lemin, Jr.; beloved in-laws, Les and Jane Strickler, brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Amy Strickler; daughters Alyssa Lemin, Ashley Lemin and Courtney Loyst along with his grandchildren, Olivia, Violet, Eddard, Isabella, Stella and Iris whom he loved and cherished; nephew William Lemin, III and nieces Madi and Emma Strickler whom he loved and adored and had a special relationship with; many aunts, uncles and cousins, and his fur-baby Gracie who the sun set and rose on. “Everybody loves Gracie”, you would always hear Bob say.

To his nieces he was, Uncle Bullet. To his family he was, Bobby. To his in-laws he was “Our Bob”. He was dad and grandpa. To his wife he was everything. In ministry he was Pastor Bob but to everyone he was a gentle soul, a great encourager. To know Bob was to know love.

Bob enjoyed the simple things in life, gardening, fishing, bird watching, going for rides to nowhere, plays in Lancaster with his wife, his father-in-law’s jokes, going to all the Marvel movies with his Dad and just sitting and talking with his Mom. Bob was an honorary member of the Tri State Shell crew where he loved and enjoyed Friday morning breakfasts with the “gang”. Bob loved spending time with his friends and family but most of all Bob loved the Lord.

Bob had a great faith in God. He served along with his wife at First Assembly of God in Port Jervis, NY, as children’s Pastor for 13 years. The last several years, when he could, he served at his current church, Hope Evangelical in Matamoras, PA. Despite Bob’s illness, and all the years he fought it, Bob remained steadfast in his love for the Lord. He loved with a great love and touched many lives.

In the words of his brother-in-law, when you think of a “tough” man, one would think of a biker, body builder, or perhaps a big, tattooed guy but the toughest man of these was Bob for he fought a courageous 13-year battle with a strength that is rarely seen.

As his dear friend Jeri lovingly said, “the world needs more Bob’s”. Until we meet again, know you are loved.
